If you run a trade business, you’re great at the work. The roof, the removal, the panel, the install — that part you’ve got handled. It’s everything after the job that eats you alive: the website you keep meaning to fix, the posts you never get around to, the leads that text once and disappear.
AI can do a huge chunk of that heavy lifting for you now — if you know what to ask it. Most owners open ChatGPT, type “write me a Facebook post,” get something that sounds like a robot in a suit, and quit. The problem was never the tool. It was the prompt.
I grew up in my family’s HVAC business, so I know exactly what it feels like to be invisible online while a worse competitor books the job that should’ve been yours. These are the same prompts we use behind the scenes for our trade partners — for offers, websites, content, and follow-up. Swap in your trade, your town, and your jobs, and they do the work for you.
How to use these prompts
Paste any prompt below into ChatGPT, Claude, or Gemini — they all work. Fill in everything in [BRACKETS] with your real business details. Start with the first one if you’re not sure where to begin — each builds on the last.
One rule: be specific. “I run a tree service” gets you generic garbage. “I run a tree service in Litchfield County, my best jobs are large removals and storm cleanup, my slow season is winter” gets you gold. Fill in every bracket.
1. The High-Value Offer Generator
Turn “we do everything” into offers homeowners actually say yes to.
I run a [TRADE] business in [SERVICE AREA]. My ideal customer is [HOMEOWNER TYPE]. My most profitable jobs are [JOB TYPE]. My slow season is [SEASON] and my biggest problem is [PROBLEM]. Give me the top 5 most profitable offers I could run to fill my pipeline, ranked by margin and ease of selling. For each: what to call it, what’s included, the price and why, who it’s for, and the best format (seasonal promo, maintenance plan, bundle, financing, or free inspection-to-quote). Be specific to my trade and market. No generic advice.
Why it works: Most trade businesses have one offer — “call us for a quote.” This forces AI to package what you already do into named offers people can actually say yes to. That’s the difference between a dead month and a booked one.
2. The Service-Page Outline Builder
A full website service page, mapped out in one shot.
Build a complete service-page outline for my [TRADE] business about [SERVICE] for [TARGET CUSTOMER]. Include: (1) a headline that makes the homeowner feel understood and ready to call, (2) a subheadline stating the outcome and why I’m the safe choice, (3) the 5-7 sections in order (problem, solution, what’s included, why us, proof, process, FAQ + CTA), (4) 3-5 bullet points of what to cover in each section, (5) the one thing that earns trust in the first 10 seconds. Make it feel like an established, licensed local pro.
Why it works: A page that ranks and converts has a specific structure. This hands you the skeleton so you (or your web person) aren’t staring at a blank screen.
3. The Bio + Google Profile Converter
Make your bio actually get the phone to ring.
Write 5 short bio options for my [INSTAGRAM / FACEBOOK / GOOGLE PROFILE] that get homeowners to call without sounding salesy. My business is [NAME], I do [SERVICES] in [SERVICE AREA], I help [CUSTOMER TYPE] with [MAIN PROBLEM]. My edge is [WHAT MAKES ME DIFFERENT]. Include who I help, my area, what makes me trustworthy, and a clear next step. Under 150 characters each. Make them sound like a real local pro a neighbor would recommend.
Why it works: Your bio is prime real estate most owners waste on “Family owned. Fully insured.” This turns it into a reason to tap “Call.”
4. The Carousel Content Machine
A week of trust-building content from one prompt.
Create a 9-slide carousel that gets homeowners to trust and call my [TRADE] business without feeling like an ad. Slide 1: a hook tied to a real homeowner fear or seasonal event. Slides 2-6: pure value, one thing that saves them money or prevents a disaster. Slide 7: bust a myth homeowners believe about [TOPIC]. Slide 8: a before/after or short customer story. Slide 9: soft CTA to comment [KEYWORD] for a free [INSPECTION/QUOTE]. Tone: honest, local, like a pro explaining it to a neighbor.
Why it works: Homeowners don’t follow contractors for fun — they follow the one who teaches them something. This gives you a full educational post that builds trust before they ever need you.
5. The Job-Booking Caption Writer
Posts that sound like you — and book jobs.
Write a caption that gets homeowners to reach out for my [TRADE] service [SERVICE NAME] without sounding salesy. Open with a one-line hook that stops the scroll. Then a short, real story about a recent job. Then 3 things the homeowner gets when they hire me. Then one line of proof (years in business, reviews, licensed & insured). End with a soft CTA to comment [KEYWORD] or call for a free [QUOTE]. Under 250 words. Tone: trustworthy local pro, warm but no-nonsense. No buzzwords.
Why it works: Most captions are either dead-silent photos or hard-sell spam. This one tells a real story and ends with a soft ask — the kind people actually respond to.
6. The Reel Story Script
A 60-second story that sells without selling.
Write a 60-second Reel script that sells my [TRADE] service through a real story. (1) Open with a problem my customers face all the time (the leak they ignored, the tree that ‘looked fine,’ the AC that died in July). (2) Introduce myself and the moment I knew homeowners needed a pro they could trust. (3) Reveal how I do the job right and what most companies get wrong. (4) Share one specific result. (5) End with a CTA to comment [KEYWORD]. Write it how a real tradesperson talks on camera. Include text-on-screen for each part.
Why it works: Reels are where new customers find you. A story-driven script gives you something to actually say on camera — no script-reading, no cringe.
7. The Lead Follow-Up Sequence
Stop letting leads go cold.
Write a 3-message follow-up (DM or text) for a homeowner who asked about [SERVICE]. Msg 1: thank them, deliver the next step warmly, make them feel like a real person reached out. Msg 2 (24 hrs later): share a quick before/after of a customer I helped with the same problem. Msg 3 (48 hrs later): invite them to book the [INSPECTION/ESTIMATE] with a light, no-pressure nudge (mention I’m booking up for [SEASON]). Tone: warm, genuine, like a local pro who wants to help. No pressure.
Why it works: Most jobs aren’t lost on price — they’re lost to silence. The contractor who follows up like a human wins the work. This gives you that sequence in 30 seconds.
Here’s the part nobody tells you
These prompts will genuinely help you. But a prompt is a tool, not a system — and a tool only works as well as what it’s plugged into.
You can write the best offer in the world, but if it points to a website that doesn’t convert, you lose the sale. You can post every day, but if nobody follows up with the people who reach out, those leads go cold in 48 hours. We’ve watched it happen a hundred times: great operator, great prompts, broken funnel.
That’s the whole reason we built Profit Revive around a simple order of operations: foundation first, then scale. A website you own and that actually converts. A CRM that captures every lead. REVA — our AI front office — answering, booking, and following up around the clock so a missed call never becomes a missed job. The prompts are step one. The system is what turns them into booked work, month after month.
Proof this isn’t theory
One of our partners, Jason, runs a tree service. He’d been paying another agency $1,500 a month for blog content targeting the wrong state — sending his leads to competitors. We rebuilt his site and his system from the foundation up. His phone started ringing in week one.
He did $113,000 in November — up from $19,000 the year before. Not a one-time spike: the following “slow” December he did $72K against $8.9K the prior year. Same crew. Same trucks. Same services. A real system behind them.
That’s the difference between renting marketing and owning growth.
Frequently asked questions
Can I really run my trade marketing with AI?
You can run a big chunk of it — offers, website copy, social posts, scripts, and follow-up drafts. What AI can’t do is build the connected system underneath it or answer the phone at 11 PM. Use the prompts for the content; build a real foundation for the rest.
Will ChatGPT write content that sounds like me?
Only if you tell it to. Every prompt above is written to force a warm, real, local-pro tone — not corporate hype. The more specific you are about your business, the more it sounds like you.
Who is Profit Revive for?
Established trade and local service businesses — HVAC, roofing, tree, electrical, landscaping, plumbing, and more — that are ready to scale, not just “get a website.” We build the website, the CRM, the content, and the AI front office as one machine.
Want this built into your business — not done by hand?
You’ve got the prompts. If you’d rather have all of this built into your business — the site that converts, the follow-up that never sleeps, the lead engine that keeps your calendar full — that’s exactly what we do.
